View UMC Chancel

Chancel Choir of Mountain View United Methodist Church has over 25
voices, and sings in worship each Sunday of the school year at the
10:30 a.m. service. The choir sings a wide variety of repertoire, from
Gregorian Chant to contemporary sacred pieces, including Brahms and
Moses Hogan, and is a non-auditioned group open to new members.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 6:45-8:15 p.m. The 2009 fall season
starts September 2. Led by Alejandro Gómez-Guillén. Seraphim We
offer a women’s singing ensemble 5-6 times a year. The next rehearsals
are Sunday August 23 and Sunday, August 30 at 9:30 a.m. We will sing at
the 10:30 service on August 30. All women of all ages are welcome to
join us. Led by Tula Roberge. Children’s

month throughout the school year. We also
have a junior choir (grades 5-9) that will meet on Sundays after the
10:30 worship service, starting August 23. Spirit Singers contribute
to the 10:30 worship service several times a month, singing with piano,
organ, bells, flutes, as well as a cappella singing. Both choirs are
under the direction of Sara Casarrubias. Handbell

choir rings on nearly five octaves of handbells and three octaves of
hand chimes. The choir rehearses Tuesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. in the
Sanctuary and participates in worship at least once a month. Reading
music is the only requirement for joining the choir. The 2009 fall
season rehearsals will start on August 25. Direction by Kim Hughes,
organist, and graduate of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Call the
church office if you would like to join us. Flute
